Lead Functional Consultant

Current Open Positions: 2

Overview:

We experienced over 40% growth in 2020 and are already on pace to double that growth in 2021. As a Functional Lead, you will be responsible for engaging with our clients to implement a broad array of quality solutions across the Force.com platform. We are looking for hard-working, experienced Salesforce professionals who are driven by client success/satisfaction and seek our employee-first work environment (see our Ventas Corporate Culture).

Your experience and expertise are critical to solving our client challenges and your success will create growth opportunities for yourself and the organization. You will have a strong support team, but you must be able to lead a project from end-to-end. This includes managing the delivery of solutions and supervising other resources to meet deadlines and budgets. Just as important, you must be adept at listening, communicating and managing expectations as you work with clients to achieve their desired business outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage project scope and budget using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with wide ranging levels of business stakeholders
  • Translate business use cases and processes into solid requirements & design documentation
  • Identify gaps in requirements or processes and suggest/solution appropriate work arounds
  • Ability to implement design elements using native, declarative Salesforce.com functions and understand when the platform should be extended with development
  • Manage UAT activities including creating thorough test cases, facilitating user execution, handling defects and obtaining client sign-off
  • Remain up to speed on rapidly changing Salesforce.com product suite and be able to speak to/implement best practices
  • Collaborate with Sales to identify other opportunities within your clients

Functional Requirements

  • 3+ years of Salesforce.com implementation experience
  • Experience working with business process and development teams to design, implement and deploy Salesforce.com applications to different clients
  • Ability to work and deliver Salesforce solutions creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Salesforce.com certifications (Sales Cloud, Admin, etc.)
  • Understanding of key SFDC architectural concepts

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ownership of the client challenges and solutions
  • Positive demeanor with internal and external interactions and relationships
  • Focus to deliver success in a solo or team-based, high-energy and fast-paced environment

  • Confidence to lead enterprise-level projects with good judgement and minimal direction

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business or Technical field, Masters preferred

Salesforce certifications (Admin, Sales or Service Cloud, etc.) or equivalent business experience

Preference given to a demonstrable track record of solving business challenges with Salesforce

Travel

Ability to meet travel requirements (typically <5 %), if applicable.

Salesforce.com Developer (Mid-level)

double that growth in 2021. Your experience and expertise are critical to solving our clients’ challenges and your success will create growth opportunities for yourself and the organization.

As a Mid-level Developer, you will design, implement, and sometimes lead the development of complex solutions within Salesforce, including integrations with other systems. Your work will include collaborating with other members of the development team, engaging offshore development resources, scoping and creating estimates, working with project leads to manage client deliverables and expectations, and coding modern Force.com applications for desktop and mobile.

You will be a valued resource as the Functional members of the team will look to you for guidance and thought leadership. And your ability to speak to both a technical and non-technical audience and liaise between the groups is a definite plus. Job Responsibilities

  • Determining scope, project estimates and proactively managing client expectations
  • Defining technical requirements with project leads and designing custom solutions
  • Delivering custom Lightning components, Apex classes and test coverage, complex flows, data migrations, and the occasional Visualforce page or component
  • Leveraging third party integration tools and data extract, transformation, and loading tools, and developing custom integrations
  • Being a thought leader in the organization and team player collaborating on more challenging tasks
  • Collaborating with Sales to identify other opportunities within our clients

Developer Requirements

  • At least 1-year hands on custom development (code not clicks) experience in Salesforce.com including the API
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS
  • Completion of several Salesforce.com implementations or enhancements in technical roles
  • Salesforce.com certifications (Sales Cloud, Admin, etc.)
  • Understanding of key SFDC architectural concepts
